Getting Started

Visit www.edmoti.com and click "Start Free". You can sign up with your email address. If you're a parent creating an account for your child, you'll be guided through linking your accounts during setup. No credit card is required for the free plan.
The Calibration Test is a quick 15-minute smart assessment you take when you first join Edmoti. It maps your strengths and gaps across the full GCSE Maths curriculum. Based on your results, Edmoti creates a personalised learning path with daily missions tailored to where you actually need to improve. You can retake it later to update your profile.
Each day, Edmoti generates a set of missions based on your learning profile. Missions focus on topics where you need the most improvement, mixed with revision of topics you've already learned to keep them fresh. Completing missions earns XP and keeps your streak alive.
Edmoti currently supports AQA and Pearson Edexcel GCSE Maths. You select your exam board during account setup and can change it later in your profile settings. All content and exam-style questions are tailored to your specific board and tier. Other UK boards (OCR, Eduqas, WJEC, SQA, CCEA) are not yet supported — we're expanding only as we can do each board properly.

For Students

Edmoti offers five practice modes: • Flashcards — Spaced repetition for key concepts and formulas, with topic filtering and confidence ratings. • Weak Area Trainer — Targets your weakest topics with adaptive recovery loops that increase in difficulty as you improve. • Timed Drills — Speed practice (2, 5, or 10 minutes) to build exam-day fluency and confidence under pressure. • Exam Builder — Create full mock papers matching your exam board, tier, and paper type. • Video Vault — Curated video explanations filtered by topic and tier.
The Exam Builder lets you create custom mock exams that match real GCSE papers. You choose your exam board, tier (Higher or Foundation), paper type (Paper 1, 2, or 3), and session size (Mini Mock, Half Paper, or Full Paper). The built-in calculator and scribble tool are available during the exam, just like real exam conditions. After completing the paper, you can review the mark scheme for each question.
Micro-Lessons are short, AI-assisted step-by-step explanations that help you understand a topic. Each lesson includes a diagnostic check, clear explanations, worked examples, practice questions, and a summary. They're adapted to your learning style — whether you prefer visual explanations, step-by-step walkthroughs, or example-first approaches. AI assists the learning but doesn't replace your own thinking and effort.
Yes! Edmoti includes a built-in scientific calculator (modelled on the Casio fx-95MS) that floats as a draggable panel during practice and exams. In Exam Builder mode, calculator availability matches the paper type — Paper 1 is non-calculator, while Papers 2 and 3 allow calculator use, just like the real exam.
The Scribble Tool is a digital whiteboard that lets you work through problems by hand during practice or exams. It appears as a floating, resizable panel alongside your questions. You can draw, write equations, sketch diagrams — whatever helps you solve the problem. It's like having rough paper built into the platform.

For Parents

There are two ways to link accounts. You can create a parent account first and then set up your child's account from there, or your child can generate a linking code from their profile which you enter in your parent dashboard. You can also share the link via email. Once linked, you'll have full visibility into your child's learning activity and progress.
The Parent Dashboard gives you full visibility into your child's learning: • Predicted GCSE grade based on performance • Daily streak and engagement tracking • Overall mastery percentage • Topic-by-topic breakdown (e.g. Algebra 82%, Geometry 65%) • Daily activity status and missions completed • XP progress and level • Reward/wishlist progress Everything updates in real-time — no need to ask your child how revision is going.
Students set real-world reward goals (like a new game controller, pizza night, or a day out) and you as a parent approve them. Each reward has XP milestones — as your child studies and earns XP, they progress toward their chosen rewards. You have full control: you approve which rewards are available and when they're earned. It turns revision from a battle into a shared goal.
Yes. Your parent account can be linked to multiple children. You can switch between their dashboards to view each child's progress, manage their reward goals, and track their learning independently. Each child has their own personalised learning path.

XP, Levels & Rewards

XP (experience points) is earned through almost everything you do on Edmoti — completing missions, answering practice questions, finishing micro-lessons, and watching videos. The harder the task, the more XP you earn. XP contributes to your level, unlocks milestones, and counts toward wishlist reward goals. There's no cap on daily XP.
A streak counts how many consecutive days you've completed at least one learning activity on Edmoti. Your streak grows each day you practise and resets if you miss a day. Streaks build momentum and are visible on your dashboard and your parent's dashboard. Some achievements and milestones are tied to streak length (e.g. 7-day streak, 30-day streak).
As you earn XP, you level up. Each level requires a set amount of XP (approximately 500 XP per level). Your level comes with a rank title that reflects your progress. Levelling up unlocks new milestones and achievements. Your current level and XP progress are always visible on your dashboard.
The Wishlist is where students set real-world rewards they'd like to earn through studying. Students add items to their wishlist, parents review and approve them, and then XP earned through learning counts toward unlocking those rewards. Once the XP target is reached, the reward is marked as earned. It’s a way to turn study effort into something meaningful — with parents staying in full control.

Go to your Profile page and look for the Learning Preferences section. You can update your cognitive style (visual, step-by-step, example-first, or real-world), content preference (example-first or explanation-first), confidence level, preferred study time, and session duration. These preferences help Edmoti adapt how content is presented to you.
In your Profile, find the Exam Details section. You can change your exam board, tier (Foundation or Higher), target grade, and exam date at any time. Updating these will adjust your learning content and mock exam options to match your specific exam requirements.
Go to your Profile page, scroll to Account Settings, and select "Change password". You'll need to enter your current password and then your new password. If you've forgotten your current password, use the "Forgot password" link on the login page to reset it via email.
To request account deletion, email support@edmoti.com with your account details. If you're a parent, you can request deletion of your child's account and all associated data. We will process deletion requests in line with UK data protection law. Some limited data may be retained where required by law or for safeguarding purposes.
