These Terms of Service explain how Edmoti works, what we provide, and the responsibilities of everyone who uses the platform. They apply to all use of Edmoti, including by students, parents or guardians, and anyone accessing our services.
By creating an account, accessing, or using Edmoti, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the platform.
Where a user is legally considered a child, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms on the user’s behalf. By permitting a child to use Edmoti, the parent or guardian confirms that they accept these Terms and are responsible for the child’s use of the service.
Children may only use Edmoti with the knowledge and permission of a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising use of the platform and for ensuring that any information provided is accurate and appropriate.
If you have any questions about these Terms, you can contact us at support@edmoti.com.
Edmoti is an educational platform that provides learning tools and support to help students build understanding and confidence in their studies.
Edmoti operates under the laws of England and Wales.
If you have any questions about these Terms, need support, or wish to contact us for legal or data-related matters, you can reach us at support@edmoti.com.
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
Edmoti is intended for use by students under the age of 16 as part of their learning and revision.
Where a student is under 16, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent for the student to use the Service. By creating or allowing access to an account, the parent or guardian confirms that they have given permission and accept responsibility for the student’s use of Edmoti.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising how the Service is used, including monitoring learning activity, managing settings, and ensuring that the platform is used appropriately and in line with these Terms.
Edmoti reserves the right to suspend or restrict access to an account if we believe that age requirements have not been met, parental consent has not been properly obtained, or the Service is being used in a way that breaches these Terms or raises safeguarding concerns.
Accounts on Edmoti may be created by students or by a parent or legal guardian on a student’s behalf. Where a student is required to have parental consent, the parent or guardian is responsible for the creation and management of the account.
All information provided when creating an account must be accurate, complete, and kept up to date. This includes information provided by both students and parents or guardians.
Each student may only have one account, unless Edmoti has given written permission for multiple accounts. Sharing accounts or creating duplicate accounts is not permitted.
Users are responsible for keeping their login details secure and for all activity that takes place under their account. Accounts must not be shared with others. If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, you must notify us as soon as possible.
Edmoti may suspend or terminate an account if we reasonably believe that:
Where a student uses Edmoti with parental involvement, parents or guardians play an active role in overseeing use of the Service.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to remain involved in their child’s learning and to use the tools provided by Edmoti to support and guide appropriate use of the platform.
Edmoti provides an online educational service designed to support learning and revision in GCSE Maths.
The Service includes a range of learning tools, which may include practice questions, assessments, revision activities, and progress tracking to help students understand topics and identify areas for improvement.
Edmoti uses AI-assisted features to support learning, such as helping to adapt practice, provide explanations, and surface topics that may need further attention. These features are intended to assist learning and do not replace teaching, independent thinking, or formal assessments.
For parents and guardians, Edmoti may provide dashboards and tools that offer visibility into learning activity, progress, and rewards where these features are enabled.
The Service is designed to support learning alongside school or other education and does not guarantee any specific academic outcome or result.
Edmoti includes features that use automated or intelligent systems to assist learning. These features are designed to support students by helping to explain concepts, adapt practice, and highlight areas that may need further attention.
AI-assisted features on Edmoti are support tools only. They do not replace teachers, formal education, exams, or human judgement. Any explanations, suggestions, or guidance provided through these features are intended to help learning and understanding, not to make decisions or guarantees about academic performance or outcomes.
Students remain responsible for their own work and learning. AI-assisted features are not intended to be used as shortcuts, and students are expected to engage with the material honestly and independently.
While Edmoti takes reasonable steps to ensure that AI-assisted outputs are educationally appropriate, these outputs should be used as guidance only and should not be relied upon as definitive or authoritative.
Edmoti is an educational support tool designed to assist learning and revision. It is not a school, tutor, or examination body, and it does not replace classroom teaching, teachers, or formal education.
Use of the Service does not guarantee any specific academic results, grade improvements, or exam outcomes. Learning progress and success depend on a range of factors, including a student’s engagement, effort, and use of the materials provided.
Edmoti is intended to support learning alongside other educational resources and should not be relied upon as the sole method of study or exam preparation.
Edmoti must be used responsibly and in a way that supports learning and safety. Users agree to use the Service only for its intended educational purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
The following behaviours are not permitted:
Edmoti may take appropriate action if this Acceptable Use Policy is breached, including restricting features, suspending access, or terminating an account where necessary to protect users, maintain fairness, or meet safeguarding and legal obligations.
Edmoti is committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of children who use the Service. Safeguarding is a priority, and we take reasonable and proportionate steps to help ensure the platform is used in a safe and appropriate manner.
Edmoti may monitor use of the Service to identify misuse, harmful behaviour, or activity that could raise safeguarding concerns. Monitoring is carried out for safety and compliance purposes and in line with applicable data protection laws.
Users, parents, and guardians are encouraged to report any concerns, inappropriate content, or behaviour that may pose a risk to safety. Reports can be made by contacting us at support@edmoti.com or through any reporting tools made available within the Service.
Edmoti maintains a separate Safeguarding Policy, which sets out in more detail how safeguarding concerns are handled and how appropriate action may be taken.
Where necessary to protect users or comply with legal or safeguarding obligations, Edmoti may take protective action. This may include restricting access to features, suspending or terminating accounts, or reporting concerns to relevant authorities where required by law.
All rights in and to the Edmoti platform, including its design, software, features, and educational materials, are owned by or licensed to Edmoti. This includes all content made available through the Service, as well as any explanations or outputs generated through AI-assisted features.
Students retain ownership of the answers they submit and the learning progress data generated through their use of the Service. By using Edmoti, students and parents grant Edmoti a limited, non-exclusive licence to use this information solely for the purpose of providing, operating, and improving the Service, in line with our Privacy Policy.
Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or otherwise use any part of the Service or its content for commercial purposes or outside personal educational use, unless expressly permitted by Edmoti in writing.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Edmoti’s intellectual property to users.
Edmoti may offer both free and paid access to parts of the Service. Details of current pricing, features, and subscription options are made available on the platform or at the point of purchase.
Where a free tier or free trial is offered, access may be limited in features or duration. Any applicable limits will be clearly explained before use.
Paid subscriptions, where available, are billed in advance on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle selected at the time of purchase. All payments must be authorised by a parent or guardian where required by law. Parents and guardians are responsible for any charges incurred in connection with a student’s account.
Edmoti does not charge hidden fees. Any applicable charges, renewal terms, or changes to pricing will be clearly communicated before payment is taken.
Subscription terms, including how to manage or cancel a subscription, are provided at the point of purchase and within the account settings.
Subscriptions to Edmoti may be cancelled at any time through the account settings or by contacting us at support@edmoti.com.
Unless otherwise stated at the point of purchase, cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing period. Access to paid features will continue until the end of that period, after which the subscription will not renew.
Refunds are not generally provided for partially used subscription periods, except where required by law. Where a refund is available, the applicable terms will be clearly explained at the time of purchase.
Nothing in these Terms affects a user’s statutory rights under UK consumer law, including rights relating to cancellation and refunds where applicable.
Edmoti may suspend or terminate access to the Service where this is reasonably necessary to protect users, maintain the integrity of the platform, or comply with legal or safeguarding obligations.
An account may be suspended or terminated if:
Where appropriate and practicable, Edmoti will take reasonable steps to notify the relevant parent or guardian before or shortly after action is taken.
Parents or guardians may request the closure of a student’s account at any time by contacting support@edmoti.com. Account closure may result in loss of access to the Service and associated data, subject to our data retention obligations set out in the Privacy Policy.
Edmoti may also suspend or terminate accounts that remain inactive for an extended period, where this is permitted by law and reasonable in the circumstances.
Edmoti is committed to protecting personal data and handling it responsibly.
Personal data is collected, used, and stored in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Further details about how personal data is handled, including information about rights and how to exercise them, are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Edmoti may send communications that are necessary to operate the Service. These may include account notifications, service updates, learning-related information, and important messages relating to safety, payments, or changes to the Service.
Where parental involvement applies, certain communications may be directed to parents or guardians rather than students. Edmoti aims to ensure that communications are appropriate for the intended recipient and relevant to their role.
Edmoti does not send marketing communications directly to children. Any marketing or promotional messages, where permitted, are directed to parents or guardians and can be managed or opted out of in accordance with applicable law.
Edmoti may use carefully selected third-party service providers to support the operation of the Service. These may include providers for hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and technical support.
Third-party providers are permitted to process personal data only as necessary to provide their services to Edmoti and only in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection laws.
Edmoti does not sell personal data and does not allow third parties to use personal data for advertising or marketing purposes.
Further information about how third parties may be involved in data processing is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Edmoti aims to make the Service available in a reliable and consistent manner. However, access to the Service may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or technical reasons.
The Service may evolve over time. Features, tools, or content may be added, modified, or removed to improve the platform, meet legal or safeguarding requirements, or reflect changes in educational standards or technology.
Edmoti may carry out planned maintenance from time to time and will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption where possible.
Edmoti is not obliged to maintain or continue any specific feature or functionality indefinitely, provided that any changes are made in a reasonable manner and in line with applicable law.
Edmoti provides the Service as an educational support tool. While we take reasonable care in providing the Service, we do not accept liability for losses or damages that arise from use of the Service where those losses are indirect or not reasonably foreseeable.
In particular, Edmoti is not liable for:
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Edmoti’s liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by this section.
Parents or guardians agree to use the Service lawfully and in accordance with these Terms.
Where a parent or guardian permits a child to use Edmoti, the parent or guardian agrees to take responsibility for the child’s use of the Service and to ensure that it is used in a lawful and appropriate manner.
To the extent permitted by law, parents or guardians agree to indemnify Edmoti against any losses, claims, or liabilities arising from a child’s misuse of the Service or a breach of these Terms, except where such losses are caused by Edmoti’s own negligence or failure to comply with applicable law.
These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Edmoti may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Service, legal requirements, or how we operate.
Where changes are made, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. This may include updating the Terms on the website or notifying parents or guardians through the Service or by email where appropriate.
The date at which the Terms were last updated will be shown at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
